For this weeks campus safari I went to a Christmas event at the student center on Wednesday. My friend Cait had told me earlier in the day and I definitely wanted to go. Cait and I ended up going after Spanish class at around three pm.
When we got there I could not believe all the thing to do and the best part was that everything was free. We were first offered loads of candy and delicious hot chocolate. Then we made these candle like things. It’s a glass vase that you fill with all kinds of colored sand, shells, and Christmas decorations. Then, you fill the rest of the vase with a hot gel that has to fry. After that, you pour a little bit of scent oil. Then you have a nice décor that smells nice like a candle. I made one with pink, yellow, and purple sand. It had a little polar bear in it.
While Cait and I were waiting we even got our picture taken with Santa. We both got a copy of the picture with frames. We were so excited. After this, I realized how much southern does for its’ students. Also, I was happy because the event put me in the Christmas spirit.
