Final Self Assesment

As a college student, I learned that I am more eager to learn than in high school. When I was in high school, I did all my work and projects just to do it and get the grade. Yet, not that I am in college my work is not got get a good grade, but to achieve my goal. In college, I know that doing all my work is not for others but for me and to make me happy, because it is for my future.  In my learning process, I realize that college is not a joke. You get no second chances, or extra credit. You can either mess up your future career or you can accomplish it.
For me, my biggest challenges were finding good time management. I felt like I deserved time for myself but, I did not realize it was cutting into my school work. When I saw the result, (which was some bad grades) it came to me that I had to buckle down with my school work, and to treat myself later. I fixed my problem by training myself to my all of my work first and then to enjoy my spare time.  It was hard at first, but I eventually managed. Now I am confident that I am doing better overall.
I think that my biggest achievement so far is that I have survived my first semester overall. I had a lot of ups and downs yet I managed to get everything done. I know students that have horrible grades or haven’t gone to class once. I have had pretty good attendance and I am not failing. Therefore, I am happy where I am and I am happy with my ending in the semester.
Overall, I learned how to not only to stay above in school but also, how to stay overall healthy. I changed my diet to a lot more healthy. I switched from coffee to tea and I now eat a balanced breakfast of yogurt and fruit. It has made me feel better and prevents me from getting bad headaches which I used to suffer from daily. In the next semester, I hope to keep my well doings up. I feel very prepared for next semester, because I have survived the first. Now, I know the do’s and don’ts. I now know what I need to buy for college school supplies and I know that you should never spend your money on unhealthy foods on campus.
My grades this semester have been pretty good. In the beginning of the semester I was having a lot of trouble adjusting to college work. I eventually improved my grades. I would guess that my semester grades would be in the A and B range which makes me really happy with myself.
From here, I want to continue my education and college career. I want to stay focused and happy. I want to be able to easily manage my job, my school work, and myself.  I also want to stay healthy and be financially stable. That way, money does not have to worry me while I need to do my school work. For next semester I want to keep up my good work. I want to get good grades and have a good social life. Over the summer, I am planning to work and do an internship.
